Rates Starting at $30 per hour*.
*An hour of care is approximately 45 minutes, as travel time is included in rate.
Here, at Give a Hoot, we want to help the client and the family in any way we possibly can. While developing my business model, I wanted to focus on the services and resources I would like to have while caring for my own loved one. My intention is not only to obtain clients but to make sure they are getting the care that they require and are taking advantage of the resources available. Since moving to Quesnel, I have met so many resources who are willing to help: G.R. Baker Memorial Hospital, Quesnel Home and Community Care, and Better at Home have connected with us so we can work as a team to support those in need in our community.

Being a small, private business owner, I cannot be subsidized. However, there are community resources available to have private home care subsidized by the government. This program is called CSIL (Choice in Supports for Independent Living). It allows you to essentially be an employer and hire your own care team as well as create a plan of care that is truly personal. This program is set up by your Case Manager at: Quesnel Home and Community Care (250) 983-6850 Or referred to by a Health Care Professional such as your GP.

Activities of Daily Living
I am available to help you or your loved on to accomplish everyday tasks that have become unsafe or too difficult to be accomplished alone. Below is an example of assistance available.
Ride With Me

Need a ride? I can help get you where you need to go! Must be able to stand and transfer into an SUV.
Additional charge based on current gov't rates. 2025 rate: $0.72per km
Respite Services
Do you need to ensure the safety of a loved one, while you go out?
Respite Rates may differ depending on length of stay and tasks done during visit.
